I want to share my thoughts about opinion sharing. I think sharing opinion is very important. Why? There are many reasons. Let’s start 1-by-1.

Broadens Perspective

Sharing opinion broadens our perspective, which is a good thing. Since our own perception is very limited. We are shaped by different circumstances. For example, all my life I’ve been a nerdy guy which never did sport. Because of that, I think sport is not for me.

My friend have an opinion that doing sport is good for health, and it’s fun too. So I tried it out. Turns out it can be fun. Also after some time I found out there are research on the health benefit of sport.

Disregarded in Decision Making

If nobody shared their opinion about something, then a decision won’t account for his opinion. Which will cause him to suffer. One example is, I really like internal combustion engine. And I want it to be available until the day I die. But currently all government in the world is trying to push electric vehicles. Maybe one day I will change my mind, but the current state of EV is very bad.

Since I don’t live in a house. I can’t setup charging infrastructure for myself. Currently the charging infrastructure is still bad. When will it be good? When I don’t have to think about it. I don’t even think about the infrastructure for ICE vehicles. I just maintain it to the nearest garage and fill it with gasoline every now and then.

Anyway, since I didn’t share my opinion before, it’s not considered in Governmern decision making. Of course, my opinion can still be discarded even if I shared it before the decision.

Conclusion

I guess this is an obvious thing. Also, the two points above may be connected. I just want to fill my blog so bear with me.
