Today I watched an interview by PrimeAgen to DHH. I think I’ve wasted my time. DHH just keeps repeating the same content he’s written on his blog. As usual, DHH is human too so he can’t be true for all of his statements.
The part where I disagree is where having children is good and people who didn’t do it will regret it. He’s also very proud man where he’s not willing to pick up other people’s shit for any amount of money. He’s also very crazy and will nuke 1,000,000 people just to save his kid’s life.
For me, I’d pickup people’s shit a few times for a 1 million dollars each. I also think that having kid without preparation is a bad idea. Because it will ultimately doom your life financially. Where the current political climate is, if you have kid it’s high risk small gain scenario. Of course if you already have a kid, you will do a lot to raise it. However I still think it’s better to be financially ready to have it.
The argument of every of our ancestor have had kids is not strong enough for me. Because circumstances are different then. It’s like asking everybody to not use vehicle because all our ancestor didn’t use them in the past.
That’s all folks, just some rant from me. I’m not saying I won’t have kids, I just want to share my opinion. Because sharing opinion is very important.
